How much data can a blu-ray disc take? Currently a single layered disc will normally hold around 25GBs of data where as the dual layer version of Blu-ray will hold upto 50GB of data.The future of a blu-ray disc will mean that the manufacturers will be able to increase the layers by doing this they will have a potential to hold upto 500GBs of data.
